Thomas Mayo’s article in AG 174 on Barbara Shaw should have been compulsive reading for every referendum voter. I acknowledge from the outset that I was, and still am, a strong supporter of The Voice, and, along with the 39.9 per cent of Yes voters, hoped to give First Nations people the opportunity to have a say in their future. I still have great faith and belief in the proposition, the oversight and approval given by constitutional lawyers and the resilience of First Nations people.
