All the world’s a stage

2023 marked 400 years since the publication of Shakespeare’s First Folio, a tome featuring 36 of the Bard’s plays collected posthumously by his fellow actor friends. The first printed edition of Shakespeare’s collected plays, the First Folio has become one of the most influential works of literature in the world. What better way to celebrate this special anniversary than to send Mr Shakespeare to perhaps the one place that his influence hasn’t been felt: space. BAFTA-nominated filmmaker. The resulting film, , features actor Tom Baker reading the extract with moving visuals of the Bard floating above the earth, demonstrating the First Folio’s monumental worldwide influence and popularity, 400 years after its publication.
