One fortunate customer finally purchased a Concorde turbojet engine last weekend on eBay after it had been displayed on the auction site for years.
The Rolls-Royce Olympus 593-610 was sold for $716,927.94 (around £565,000).
The engine can only be used for static display or recycled as furniture or art because it is not functioning.
Nevertheless, as the only engine offered by British Airways with the afterburner and original is unique.
