Cape Town’s oldest and most famous nightclub, Galaxy, has just celebrated 45 years of existence.
Club Galaxy was opened by Chiba Jeram Patel on December 14, 1978. It was billed as a disco restaurant that offered an à la carte menu with a small dance floor and some disco lighting.
The cover charge was R2 during the week and R3 on weekends and on Sundays R3.50, which included a meal.
