HOMEGROWN ORIGINAL DRAMAS

HIGH COUNTRY

Set in the Victorian High Country, this haunting eight-part mystery centres around five missing persons who have vanished without a trace into the vast wilderness. Having transferred to the seemingly sleepy town of Brokenridge, Detective Andrea ‘Andie’ Whitford (Leah Purcell, pictured centre, who also executive produces) is quickly thrust into the investigation, which leads to a complex web of murder, lies and revenge.

The all-star cast also includes Ian McElhinney (Game of Thrones), Aaron Pedersen (right, A Place to Call Home), Luke McKenzie (Wentworth), Sara Wiseman (left, A Place to Call Home), Geoff Morrell (Ned Kelly), Linda Cropper (The Leftovers) and Leah Vandenberg (Wentworth, watch all titles On Demand).

“I’m always interested in this High Country stuff, it’s magnificent to get a chance to play characters in this kind of strong land, with its dangers and its beauty,” Pedersen tells FOXTEL magazine. “I haven’t done a High Country [series] before, so I wanted to immerse myself in the character and the land, and see what happens.”
