STAR LETTER

40 YEARS YOUNG

I was interested in reading the deputy editor’s piece in last month’s issue (505) regarding the frequency of landmark occasions that are celebrated as each year rolls by, and the thought occurred to me that one of the next big and significant landmarks will surely be your magazine’s 40th anniversary in 2024. This inspired me to read again your 30th anniversary collector’s special issue (381) published in June 2014 and, in particular, the results of your Great Guitar Survey.

It would be very interesting if you could arrange for a similar survey to be sent out to your readership in the coming months to see how the results and your conclusions in 2024 compare to those 10 years ago – particularly as so much has happened during this time period (guitar/amp/effects innovations and trends, affordability, lockdown, hybrid working etc…).
