IF YOU’RE GOING TO LIVE IN A RENTED house, it’s hard to imagine a better set-up than the one artists Anna Hoyle and Franky Howell, and their son Gus, have had for the past seven years. Around 20 years ago, Anna had lived in various houses in the same street, and ended up becoming friends with everyone in the neighbourhood. Though she moved away from the area to live with Franky in his “shambolic shoebox” (which wasn’t great once Gus came along), she returned to her old stomping ground after finding out that a house, owned by a friend next door, was up for rent.
