SOME FOLKS SPEND FOREVER AND A DAY deciding which house to make their own – Jessica Clark and Dana Ashford bought their Port Adelaide apartment almost on a whim. Lazing at nearby Semaphore Beach one day in late 2015, and scrolling through real-estate listings for fun, the couple spotted the kind of apartment dreams are made of. Sure, it was slightly rundown. But beneath all that, they spied exposed brick walls, soaring ceilings, giant industrial beams and a cosy loft space.
