Hayley & Chadd Kessner

Hayley and Chadd Kessner have always tried to instil in their children the idea that home isn’t bound to four walls – it’s wherever you are with the people you love. “We have a bit of a loose motto in our house, that change is good for the soul,” says Hayley. But after nearly a decade spent as a FIFO (fly in, fly out) family due to Chadd’s work in the mines, Jaspa, 12, Sascha, 11, Scarlett, 5, and Behemoth Aristotle the great Dane, are enjoying putting down some roots on 25 acres of Australian bush in the tiny town of Catterick, Western Australia.
