KELLY CLOAKE AND AEDAN HOWLETT MET when they were working in a brewery bar in Fremantle. Once they started talking about buying a place together, six or seven years ago, there was only one thing to do – and that was get out of Western Australia. “We knew we’d never be able to afford anywhere on an artist’s and a hospitality wage,” says Kelly.
At the time, Tasmania looked like a good option. Neither Kelly nor Aedan had had much to do with it before but, as soon as they landed in Hobart, they knew they’d stay, she says. “It’s
