Setting up camp in old houses, complete with decades of history and grime embedded in their walls, can be both charming and kind of annoying. “It’s definitely got its quirks,” says Danni Harris of the home she’s shared for the past two years with her husband-to-be, Alec Hall. “Nothing ever works how it’s supposed to, it’s freezing in winter and the whole place creaks.”
Not that any of that matters – they love the place. With the two of them working all sorts of odd hours in demanding jobs and studying on top of that, it’s important that their home feels like a sanctuary from the world. “Alec does a couple
