THE ASSIST HOOK REVOLUTION

A few years before the start of the new millennium a ‘new’ technique burst onto the global angling scene and very quickly established itself as the method of choice for many travelling anglers: speed jigging. The backbone of speed jigging was a short and very powerful rod, matched with a high-speed retrieve reel loaded with braided line. But it was the jigs that initially caught the eye of most anglers.
