Prague | JOURNEYS
Prague's sights are iconic – the medieval Charles Bridge, the 9th-century Prague Castle, the meandering cobblestoned streets of the Staré Město (Old Town), just to name a few. But with tourist numbers returning to pre-pandemic levels (more than six million each year - a lot for a small city), you might be better off trading time in the medieval centre - which can be shoulder-crushingly crowded in almost every season for days spent wandering around the wonderfully distinct, history-marked and picturesque neighbourhoods that surround it. Get up early and tick off one central sight then head to the ’burbs for the rest of the day to find out how the locals live, clink beers over time-worn tables and learn about Prague's history and heart through its art, food and architecture - all completely FOMO-free.

SHOP VINTAGE AND SECOND-HAND
Don't give up the search. (cinema) BIO OKO in Holešovice, the tiny KUZMARKT vintage store packs a lot into a small space – 1990s tracksuits and T-shirts, knitted sweaters, vintage jeans, accessory bling of all kinds and kitsch homewares. If you don't manage to find something here, keep hunting at the store's second branch nearby.
