ART of the fun of Christmas shopping in London is the), gigantic bells with bows, giant baubles and spinning mirror balls hang from the ceiling of the Piazza Market Building. Savile Row is featuring a design inspired by craftsmanship and an iconic tailors’ tool: golden shears, which cut swathes of fabric-like fairy lights high across the street. Close by, Regent Street and Jermyn Street are lit by angels (the latter’s circus-themed shopping event on December 10 will include gospel singers, stilt walkers and tea and cake served from a Fortnum & Mason tuk-tuk) and Carnaby Street is decked out in shimmering discs and neon light waves.
