Is 8GB enough?
I was recently on a long vacation, and I had a chance to make some progress on the Maximum PC issues that were waiting in my queue. As such, I have multiple items to discuss.
Answering one letter, you talked about eyeing higher broadband speeds for your home. I wanted to weigh in and tell you not to succumb to the marketing. In my opinion, it is all marketing. Case in point, at my lake house in mid Michigan, I have a whopping 25Mb service that actually is closer to 30Mb service. On that service, I have had three of us playing Diablo 4 while streaming two NFL games on the big screens in HD without any issues whatsoever. There was zero lag, and zero glitching on the games. Now, that doesn’t mean I am going to give up my 200Mb service at home, but I am certainly not going to pay a premium for anything faster.
On Nvidia Studio Drivers vs Nvidia Game Drivers, I would love to see a lengthy articlePro. This conundrum applies directly to my wife, Deb, as she works in Photoshop all day (she’s a photographer), and plays Diablo 4 by night. Since D4 is more of the hobby than the job, should I be installing the Studio Drivers for her? What's the impact, if any, of playing D4 on high settings with the Studio Drivers? She has an RTX 3060, AMD Ryzen 7 6800H, and 40GB of DDR 5.
