How Apple’s MagSafe merged with Qi to create Qi2 wireless charging

APPLE WAS A bit slow in adopting the Qi wireless charging technology, but it now looks like one of the first to get in on the act with the new Qi2 (pronounced “chee–two”). In fact, you could argue that it’s mounted something of a covert take–over of the technology, as Qi2 is essentially an updated version of Apple’s MagSafe — with the added bonus that it works with Android and other non–Apple devices too.
