LONGTERMERS
The last time I wrote about the Ducati, we were experiencing something of a heatwave… 22 degrees, nonetheless, which lasted for all of two days. Yep, that was our lot, swiftly followed by rain, rain, and more rain. In actual fact, the town I live in was flooded really badly, with cars floating down the streets, closely followed by their owners in bathing suits chasing after them. There were some mad scenes, to put it bluntly, and once the water eventually receded, the roads were left covered in crap. Luckily, the SP2 was kept warm and dry throughout the whole saga as I live on a hill, but the aftermath of this biblical downpour made me think twice about getting out on the Ducati for a casual blast. Being honest, it's too nice to knacker, and the thought of caking it in mud and crud just doesn't reverberate well with me. Rightly or wrongly, I'm proud of how clean and polished I've kept this bike, avoiding puddles like the plague. So, there we have it:
