PRINCE William was training to become a Royal Air Force search-and-rescue-pilot when he was asked to choose where he wanted to be posted.
He gave two options: Lossiemouth in northeast Scotland or the Isle of Anglesey off the northwest coast of Wales. He got Wales – and it was here, to a pretty white-stoned cottage, he brought his bride-to-be.
William and Kate lived on Anglesey from early 2011 until after the birth of their first baby in 2013, revelling in life far from the hustle and bustle of London and the fishbowl of the palace.
