The easiest answer to give is to say no, contact lenses should not be worn when swimming in a pool. Everyone is at risk of infections when swimming in a pool due to the microorganisms in the water and those swimming in contact lenses are at the greatest risk. The reason for this is that contact lenses can absorb the pool water carrying these microbes
