As an artist with three decades of work behind you, you are known to combine technical expertise in all areas of photography with a highly conceptual approach that examines how we use photography to depict the world around us. Where are you up to with that?

I am currently working with historic printing processes such as cyanotypes and salt prints. Over the years, I have become fascinated by the early history of photography, and in 2019 I began to experiment in earnest with some of the processes used at the time. Salt printing really struck me because it was the first positive-negative process, and therefore the start of ‘photography proper’.
