LAST GASP

PORTSMOUTH southpaw Mark Chamberlain came through what he called a “good old York Hall scrap” with a dramatic late stoppage of Artjoms Ramlavs in their scheduled 10-rounder.

The fight was waved off at 1-21 of the 10th by referee Marcus McDonnell after Chamberlain had sent the tired Latvian southpaw crashing.

Ramlavs had never been stopped before and Chamberlain had never been pushed as hard as he was by the shorter 34-year-old.

Chamberlain ended the fight with an inch-long gash under his right
