Henry Kissinger was acclaimed on Thursday as an “artist” of diplomacy after the controversial former US secretary of state, a hard-nosed adviser to governments around the world, died aged 100.
Dr Kissinger, who was born in southern Germany in 1923 before his Jewish family fled the Nazi regime to the US in 1938, died at his home in Connecticut, according to his consulting firm.
