The EOS 80D entered Canon’s DSLR line-up in 2016. It introduced a 24.2MP APS-C sensor with an ISO range of 100-25,600, and an improved 45-point AF system with the option to select AI Servo AF for moving subjects in live view. Though no faster at shooting a burst than the previous EOS 70D, at 7fps, it provides 5fps shooting in live view and 3fps in a silent shooting mode. Other features include a 7,560-pixel RGB+IR metering system, 100% viewfinder coverage, Full HD video up to 60p, Wi-Fi connectivity and a 3in, 1.04m-dot vari-angle touchscreen.
