GCR brings in fresh safety measures after serious injury

THE Great Central Railway has implemented new safety measures following an incident in which a visually impaired passenger sustained a serious injury while alighting Loughborough Central station on the line.

As reported in issue 304, the incident occurred at 11.50am on Saturday, January 14, when a sixcoach train made a planned stop at Platform 1.
