Film: CHRISTMAS CAROLE

Ho, ho, Christmas comes early in the form of a modern retelling of Charles Dickens’ story by Anil Guptaand the thriller she wanted to make something that her 6-year-old son could see, and she’s terrific as the mean Carole, purveyor of Christmas tat, who believes that “Christmas is a lie, made up by German royals, American corporations and Charles bloody Dickens!” Along comes Christmas Past (Morecambe and Wise), Present (Jo Brand) and Future (Nish Kumar) and lessons are learned, including the need for sustainability.
