RETURNING TO THE COUNTRY OF HER FIRST ROYAL VISIT THE DUCHESS OF EDINBURGH HITS THE TARGET ON A SOLO VISIT TO CANADA

Saying it was “fantastic to be back”, the Duchess of Edinburgh went rifle shooting and sparkled at a regimental dinner on a five-day solo visit to Canada.

Returning to the country she visited on her first royal tour 23 years ago, Sophie’s schedule included visits to an army base and hospitals in her roles as Colonel-in-Chief of the Lincoln and Welland Regiment and patron of Toronto General and Toronto Western Hospitals.
