Behind closed doors

Eyes gleaming and grinning from ear to ear, Natalie Ryan-Fraser, 55, and her husband Wayne Fraser, then 45, posed for the camera.

Wearing custom-made T-shirts emblazoned with each other’s pet names – Monkey for Wayne and Chicken for Natalie.

The sweet photo was posted on social media in August 2021.

One of many happy moments they’d shared.

Long distance

Natalie and Wayne had met online in 2010. Swapped messages for months before Wayne flew from his home in Aberdeenshire to Texas to meet Natalie in person.

She said it was the ‘beginning of a lifetime of amazing adventures’.

Wayne later emigrated, and the besotted couple married in 2014.

Things hadn’t been easy for Natalie.
