Canal & River Trust awards volunteers

The Canal & River Trust has announced the appointments of Sir James Bevan, former chief executive of the Environment Agency, and Chris Fellingham, former head of Manulife Asset Management, as new Trustees for an initial three-year term.

The unpaid appointments come as the Trust works to keep canals in England and Wales open and continuing to offer their many public benefits in the face of government funding cuts, challenging weather events and a nature crisis.
