RNLI ‘All Hands on Deck’ celebrates 200 years

Send your sailing gossip, diary dates, cruising news and club updates to Heather Prentice: heather.prentice@futurenet.com

In 2024, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) will have been saving lives at sea for 200 years and, to mark the milestone, the charity is inviting sailingclubs to celebrate with them. ‘All Hands on Deck’, launched at the 2023 Southampton Boat Show, is an initiative to get sailing clubs across the UK and Ireland to create a fundraising event of their choice. It’s hoped the money raised will ensure the lifesaving organisation can be there for generations of sailors to come.

Sailing clubs are invited to organise their own race, connect with other clubs for joint sailing events
