My story

'We've always liked older houses and were renting a similar two-bed terrace on the same street before getting on the property ladder. The big bathroom and open-plan ground floor sold us on this house, and it's only a five-minute walk to shops and bars.

There was no colour in the house when we first moved in. It's hard to imagine now, but we played it safe with a lot of grey to start with. After a while I got a bit bored with it and wanted to inject more colour. My mission was to get rid of all the magnolia walls and white gloss in the house. Chris needed a bit of persuading, but once it was done, he really liked it.
