“From the river to the sea.”
Without context, the phrase sounds lyrical, sliced from a bucolic poem describing a rich, rolling landscape.
Far too many people – including members of Congress – operate void of context, about this phrase and so much else.
They lack historical background, much less an understanding about how language, infected with mankind’s grievances, can shift in meaning, from peaceful imagery to dripping with genocidal hatred.
