The analog poly synthesizer OB-X8 is based on the classics OB-8, OB-X and OB-Xa, packs their legendary sounds in a modern format and expands them by more than 40 parameters. The OB-X8 represents a comprehensive new edition of the Oberheim synthesizer that many synthesizer fans had to wait a long time for. But not everyone has the space or money for such a large keyboard, which is why Oberheim is adding a more compact and cheaper desktop version. We tested which compromises have to be made for this.
