Key task

Keep ponds topped up during hot weather for wildlife including frogs and birds. Frogs will also seek out damp shady spots under logs and foliage

If July is a hot month, keep bird baths topped up and leave water out for hedgehogs, whose babies should be emerging any day. Cool down the greenhouse by damping down (pouring water on the floor) and move pots into shade.
