I have put in the miles on the World Raid this month, making the most of the late summer splurge of sun before we start scrabbling around in the back of wardrobes for the heated vest, gloves and other garments that help us ride through the winter; is it my age or has October come round again really quickly?
It was, in fact, October last year that this experiment started, pulling me away from my out-and-out sporty ways of Fast Bikes magazine contribution and opening me up to a different adventure, in er, Adventure. I started on the BMW F900 XR, jumping on to Yamaha’s T7 some three months later and here I am now, sporting the brilliant World Raid –
