Initially, I’d been a bit cynical of any boots that had both a lacing system and a zip to fasten the boot to one’s foot, with my thinking being that it doubles the work required when putting the boots on, and gives double the areas in which a boot could fail or come loose.

But, keeping an open mind is a good way of exploring the world and discovering new things, so I was happy to try out the Falco Ranger 2 boots, complete with both a fastening zip and a traditional lace-up front.
