TABLE RUNNER

YOU WILL NEED

■ 40x70cm quilting weight cotton (Star Block in Merry)
■ 40x70cm quilting weight cotton (Jolly Ribbons)
■ 40cmx1m quilting weight cotton (The Nutcracker in Snow)
■ 70x70cm medium weight calico
■ 4m narrow bias binding ,16mm wide
■ 5m bias binding, 25mm wide
■ Basic sewing kit

FABRICS USED

■ Art Gallery Fabrics, Wintertale in Star Block in Merry, The Nutcracker in Snow, and Jolly Ribbons

CUTTING OUT

Step one From calico, cut: Two 32cmx63cm pieces

Step two From Star Block fabric cut: Two 31.5x31.5cm squares

Step three From Jolly Ribbons fabric cut: Two 31.5x31.5cm squares

Step four From Nutcracker fabric cut: Three 31.5x31.5cm squares

PREPARE THE TRIANGLES

Step one Mark a line diagonally from the bottom left corner to the top right corner of each square and cut to form two triangles from each square. (For the Jolly squares, make sure you cut on the opposite diagonal to the lines of the pattern).

Step two Lay out each of your Nutcracker triangles, right side (RS) up, and lay a Star Block RS down on three of them and a Jolly Ribbons triangle on each of the other three (you will have a spare Star Block and Jolly Ribbons triangle that you can discard).

Step three Pin and sew along the longest edge of each pair of triangles with a 1cm seam allowance. Unfold and press. 01

Step four Lay out your squares in the order you want them (they should each have Nutcracker fabric towards the bottom and the two other fabrics should alternate at
