WOODS GONE WILD

<BODY> “I’ve always loved the natural world. I was excited about building a world of open fields, gothic cathedrals, river banks, catacombs, underground warrens, woodland glades, lost druid settlements and cosy homes in trees, and then populating it with animals.” That includes the hero, a courageous hare. “I wanted a character which hadn’t graced the C64 before, that would fit into as being prey,” explains John. “This choice does affect gameplay, in terms of platform spacing and level design; a hare is quick and feisty and has a strong, athletic leap. The player has a few moves that look natural, and a couple more unusual feats (such as a barrel roll).
