<BODY> Organisers Roman and John have been pleased with the 2022 competition. “In 2015, when it was time for Viejo_Archivero and Robsy to pass on the torch, it was Konamito and me who were approached by them to follow them up,” Johns says. “MSXdev21 was my first edition, and it was a good one,” Roman adds. “John has seven editions under his belt, I have two. I’m already planning MSXdev 2023!” Prize money is donated, and prizes are added to the ‘loot box’, with winners selecting their favourite prize item. “The competition is non-commercial, for MSX lovers, by MSX lovers,” explains Roman.
This year’s jury includes Tadahiro Nitta, a composer from the Japanese firm Micro Cabin, graphic artist and in 2021). The theme was Freestyle, as Roman explains. “It can be a real showcase of what the MSX system can truly do. Why limit yourself to MSX1 machines?”
