The search in Maine for the gunman responsible for the state’s deadliest mass shooting has stretched past 36 hours as tens of thousands of people remain sheltered in place after 18 were killed and 13 injured Wednesday night.
Swarms of law enforcement officers are expanding their manhunt for 40-year-old Robert Card, who officials say entered two different establishments in the city of Lewiston and opened fire in a deadly rampage, before escaping with little trace.
