The eclectic collector

MICK HARRIS’S LAMBRETTA COLLECTION

Mick Harris describes himself as an ordinary scooterist from Scunthorpe that collects ‘interesting’ things. As you walk into his garage, you’ll see a set of Max Verstappen Red Bull V8 exhaust manifolds, next to Alain Prost’s Williams F1 rear wheel and tyre.

Tucked in the corner is a full-size Dalek, and an original fairground waltzer car that seats six people. Far more interesting though, are Mick’s five Italian Lambrettas, all restored and all used regularly. We asked Mick to tell us a bit about his scooters and any history or problems during his ownership.

1967 SX200
