SEND OF THE CENTURY ENSURES SHOCK TITLE

We should have known that the British GT ‘Donington Decider’ wouldn’t settle for a straightforward season finale. It doesn’t do final acts of that sort.

In this championship showdown, both the GT3 and GT4 titles went to long shots. The former was won by Century BMW pair Darren Leung and Dan Harper, who with another stunning showing usurped 2 Seas Mercedes’s long-time points leader James Cottingham. Cottingham’s race was spoiled by a drivethrough penalty, but reckoned that such was the BMW’s pace he likely would have lost even with a clear run (see In Brief).
