Since my last report, I have been focusing my attention on the Citroën BX estate which I got earlier in the year. Whilst the car had driven reasonably well on the journey back home from Scotland, having given it a comprehensive look over in the garage there were several things I noted which could be improved before pressing it into service as my winter transport.

I had noticed a bearing noise from the rear of the car when driving on faster A roads, and on investigation I found that the nearside rear wheel bearing had some play which, although not excessive, would be sure to get on my nerves. I am a stickler for eradicatingI opted to change both sides for peace of mind.
