CULTURAL COMMENT

From Where I Stand is a brand new group show celebrating the links between Scotland and India. Seven artists - Claire Barclay, Nishi Chodimella, Anupa Gardner, Sushanta Guha, Sonia Mehra Chawla, Shiva Nallaperumal and Swapnaa Tamhane - have been selected to exhibit new commissions alongside existing prints and multimedia pieces. The exhibition, at Edinburgh Printmakers, marks the second stage in a unique project created to connect and develop young art talent in the two countries.

Stag do

A majestic stag lifts his head against a backdrop of mountains… it’s an image that automatically makes you think of Scotland. In recognition of this,, a tribute to Sir Edwin Landseer’s famous painting of 1851. Commemorating the 150th anniversary of Landseer’s death, it’s a chance to see a collection of pieces that exemplify the impact the motif has had on Scotland’s cultural identity.
