Like Emily Walsh (This Life, page 24), I spent much of my childhood at Glasgows Kelvingrove Art Gallery. My parents were skint young art students, so it was). Decades on, my sister and I are undaunted by galleries; that carefree experience as kids instilled in us an unconscious appreciation of art, whatever its form. After all, what is art, if it’s not something that makes you feel?
