WOMEN’S voices of GLOBAL cinema

The inaugural L’OFFICIEL Global Cinema Award, created under L’OFFICIEL’s global approach, pays tribute to the world of international film, and celebrates those women whose careers have defined the best practices of international cinema. “Cinema has always been the most important place to communicate social values and cultural values, but above all it is an art capable of inspiring and giving the viewer a unique and unrepeatable experience, as well as an influential power to create positivity in our society,” says Dr. Calvin Choi, Chairman of AMTD Group and Global Chairman of L’OFFICIEL Inc. SAS. “The idea of this award comes from the desire to pay tribute to women’s voices in the film industry who have written important pages in cultural and social developments, who have been able to influence and lead the global evolution of cinema in the world with their charisma, character, courage, uniqueness, and talent. We are supportive, and want to recognize their contributions to a society that values world peace, equality, diversity, and inclusion.”
