A CARROT A DAY

 according to a study published in the medical journal. The research suggests that people with a high level of carotenes (found in produce such as carrots, spinach, and tomatoes) in the blood are likely to have a lower degree of atherosclerosis (an accumulation of LDL or “bad” cholesterol) in their arteries. This, in turn, reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases such as heart attacks and stroke. Just one question: does carrot cake count?
