A BREEDER achieved a dream result as his home-bred mare rose to the occasion to lift the Supreme Products supreme pony of the year championship.
Jerome Harforth’s exquisite part-bred champion Swan Lake, piloted beautifully by Sophie Staveley, gave a gorgeous account of herself in both the pre-judging and the final presentation, held in the evening performance, to reign ahead of 12 other champions.
The five-year-old, a lightly shown Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) debutante, was full of charm and elegance, and she performed with ears pricked, being both mannerly and eager for the job at hand; a true showgirl in every sense. Judges Philip and Rosemary Hilton agreed that
