Maiden flight!

Ah… projects – full of highs and lows, aren’t they? Here’s my roller-coaster of a ride over the last few months.

Let’s start with the highs, eh? Wheels and brake discs: I have completely changed all the bearings and seals in both wheels. I have also refurbed them with a few different sized wire brushes that fit into my cordless drill. Also I had sufficient cans of the correct hard-wearing paint left over. As for the discs, well, all three were near minimum so new ones were ordered and fitted. Yes, you can see they are ‘wavy discs’ and not round discs like the original bike, but they were £30 cheaper and I think they look good.
