Deer season is upon us, and hunters throughout the country are in the woods or making final preparations before their respective states open for the glorious autumn hunt. From southern Florida’s early August season to those opening in some northern Midwest states now, we’re alternately gushing with enthusiasm about getting back into the woods with a bow and crossbow in hand, while cursing the heat, bugs and humidity that come with our early seasons.
