Elm Cottage Touring Park, Cheshire
As I pulled into Elm Cottage Touring Park, the wardens were hard at work, keeping the grounds and the abundant, brightly coloured flowers in tip-top condition.
It was immediately obvious that the site owners and their team take a lot of pride in this touring park. The entire site is immaculate, from the large dog walking area to the well-equipped toilet and shower block, washing up/laundry facilities and children's play area.
The campsite is open all year round and has 35 electric hook-up pitches (a mixture of all weather, fully serviced and gravel). There are an additional 51 grass pitches (also with electric hook-up) in the camping field, as well as a large rally field, plus a barn for indoor functions.
A small site shop supplies all the essentials and local produce, and WiFi is available for an extra fee. Every Friday night in high season, fresh, home-made pizzas are cooked in the site's outdoor pizza oven
